Week 9 Reflection 8 Word Processor and Spreadsheet

Based on previous knowledge i was eligible to understand majority of what was being introduced about Spreadsheet and Word Processor. These Software are important and can play a major role in our everyday teaching. The features alone will blow you away because it it always fun to be creative using your original ideas to create a document.

Word Processor is a software that lets a person use a computer to create, edit, save, and retrieve
documents.

According to the Bing Dictionary, Spreadsheet is a computer program that displays numerical data in cells in a stimulated accountants worksheet of rows and columns in which hidden formulas can perform calculation on visible data.

Within a classroom i would utilize the Word Processor and Spreadsheet software to create several useful documents. For example i would create;
                                                             Spreadsheet: Attendance Roster
                                                                                  Worksheet
                                                                                  Record Grades
                                                                                  Awards Chart
                                                                                  Timetables
Students can use it to evaluate their work and also to create an individual study schedule.

Word Processor on the other hand, would be an everyday task since i will use it to create my lesson plans and activities for my class.

Week 7 Reflection 7 (Assure Model and Movie Maker)

The ASSURE model is an ISD ( Instructional System Design) process that was modified to be used by teachers in the regular classroom. The process is one in which teachers and trainers can use to design and develop the most appropriate learning environment for their students. You can use this in writing your lesson plan and improving teaching and learning.

U  -     Utilize Technology, Media & Material
R  -    Require Learner participation
E  -    Evaluate & Revise

Since Movie Maker was introduced, i created a movie about myself. It was interesting to explore because there are so many features and effects. Movie Maker has so much to explore but its time consuming if you want to get the best results.In the Classroom i would use Movie Maker to introduces subjects like Science and Social Studies and display Educational Videos , which would help the students to understand or enjoy the subjects better.

Week 6 Reflection (Podcast)

Podcast are digital files, which are produced in series.  Podcast allows you to subscribe to a seriesof files, by using a software called pod catcher.

Teachers can use podcasting to display recording to students to put across a previous activity by introducing a topic or audio presentation.

The students can use the podcast to present their creative idea by auditory expression. This will help them to explore the Podcast….. by exploring the features and effects.

This Software is very mind blowing. When i begun using it i was very amazed about all the things you can actually do with a Podcast. After it was introduced in class i went home and continued to explore it and even went on to create my own Podcast with my lil sister.

Week 5 Reflection (Blogging)

When i began creating my blog it got deleted, but that didn't stop me from trying again. Since my blog was created , I've been very excited to post my daily task and experiences . Who would have thought that having  a blog would allow you to do so many things. The blog has many features to explore and can assist you with displaying your creative ideas.

My Reflection Week 3 (Using Google Drive)

 Class was very educational because we learnt how to do new things like creating a document on Google Drive and actually sharing it with our classmates.Although some persons weren't tech savvy they still managed to get the task done. I learnt additional things like creating a link list to appear on  my blog and also creating a spreadsheet document using Google Drive. My experience in EDET is always exciting and i can't wait for the next class.

Week 1 Reflection (Educational Technology)

This week of EDET has been very helpful and exciting. I enjoyed helping those persons that didn't have a wide knowledge of creating a Blog and the Power Point Presentation.I also learned how to connect the projector to my laptop to display my power point on the white board,which i didn't have a wide knowledge about. My classmates are very helpful and fun and i couldn't ask for a better class.

 Educational Technology is the study and ethical practice of facilitating e-learning , which is the learning and improving performance by creating , using and managing appropriate technological processes and resources.
